Your Right to Data Deletion
At AirCrew24, we respect your privacy and data ownership rights. You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. This page explains how to request data deletion and what happens when you do.
Before You Request Deletion
Important: Please understand that data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before requesting deletion, consider:
- Export your logbook data for your records (PDF or CSV format)
- Save any important flight information you may need for future reference
- Cancel any active subscriptions through the App Store
- Ensure you have copies of any certificates or reports generated from the app
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request data deletion, the following will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Your profile, email, and authentication data
- Flight Logs: All flight entries and associated data
- Personal Data: Pilot certificates, medical information, and custom fields
- Settings: App preferences and customizations
- iCloud Data: All synchronized data in your iCloud account
- Analytics: Any anonymous usage data associated with your account
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request data deletion through any of these methods:
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open AirCrew24 on your device
- Go to More → Account Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
- Follow the confirmation prompts
- Your data will be deleted immediately
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to privacy@aircrew24.com with:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your AirCrew24 account
- A clear statement that you want to delete all your data
Method 3: Support Form
Contact our support team through the support page and request account deletion.
Deletion Timeline
- In-App Deletion: Immediate (data deleted instantly)
- Email/Support Requests: Within 72 hours of verification
- iCloud Data: Removed with next sync cycle (usually within 24 hours)
- Backup Data: Purged from our systems within 30 days
Data We Retain
After deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records for tax and accounting purposes (7 years)
- Records of deletion requests for compliance documentation
- Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you
- Information necessary to prevent fraud or abuse
Subscription Cancellation
Important: Deleting your data does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through the App Store:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select AirCrew24
- Tap Cancel Subscription
Re-activating Your Account
Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you decide to use AirCrew24 again:
- You'll need to create a new account
- Your previous flight data will not be available
- You'll start with a fresh, empty logbook
- Any previous subscription benefits will not transfer
